    How to Find Your Serial Number

    Your Rheem serial number can typically be found on:

    • A metal nameplate on the outdoor condensing unit
    • Inside the air handler or furnace cabinet door
    • On the rating plate near the electrical connections
    • On your original installation documentation

    Rheem Serial Number Formats

    Style 1: Plant + Factory Code Format

    Example: WF1703123456 - Plant code (W) + Factory code (F) + Week (17) + Year (03) + Serial

    Styles 2-4: Factory Letter Format

    Examples: CB5D302F099903346, 7351M280616735, OR177M280700097

    Factory letter (F, M, G, W, N) followed by Week + Year. Factory codes: F=Fort Smith AR, M=Milligeville GA, G=Greenville MS, N=Nuevo Laredo Mexico

    Style 5: Water Heater Format (10-digit)

    Example: 0804B10488 - Month (08) + Year (04) + Plant Line Code + Serial. Also found on older HVAC systems.

    Style 6: Discontinued Format (Mid-1970s and Prior)

    Example: 123451872 - Last 2 digits = Year, 3rd-4th from last = Week. Old water heater style also used on older HVAC.
